We all love new. We love to talk about it. We love to create grand theories of what’s next. We love to get all academic and discuss the massive change that can come from the new.
But many times we don’t want to do “the new”. It’s scary, it’s risky, it rocks the boat and it can actually put our careers at risk. We worry about what people think.
Tough as that is, what you need to do is throw out all the concerns, stop talking about the new and start doing the new. That’s the only way we get progress.
